Brentford FC

brentfordfc_web.jpgAs far back as 2001 Brentford Liberal Democrats have been pushing other mainstream political parties to give our local football club their fullest political support.

In 2002 Luke Kirton was elected as a councillor for Brentford football club and served four years building new bridges and a deep rooted partnership between the local authority and FC.

Joe served as a director of both the football club and the supporters trust from 2005 to 2007.

Between 2006 and 2007 Andrew served on the Griffin Park Learning Zone steering group. Over the past two years he has participated in meetings of the Lionel Road Liaison Group which is working to realise plans for a new Community Stadium. Andrew has particularly focused on environmental sustainability and economic viability aspects of the stadium project.
